to be honest, veggie meat is quite inferior..you can probably have it as a side dish but not as a staple..i personally don't like how it tastes, it seems somewhat starchy..i haven't come across any local brands which breaks down its macro and micro nutrients in its labels so it would be hard to comment on its content..it definitely has fat, no matter what they say..it would probably be from vegetable oil, palm oil or coconut oil..it would be hard to process and preserve it without fat..unless they use a lot of salt or dehydrate it..

stick with animal protein..

starch and fat together... ouch!!

that's something that most of the time tastes good but has a negative impact on our bodies...

thanks for the info derek...
sarap naman gulay on its own anyway.. Laughing

there is a product where vegetable protein and buffalo meat (real buffalo meat) were blended into one cube. kase yun buffalo meat makunat kay hinibla like corned beef then mixed with veggie protein... it won international award nga the scientist is from Negros Occidental and it was called Bio engineered protein... he was a triathlete during his younger years and some international company bought his formulation.. This is the one that was sent to me... lasang beef talaga (kase nga may buffalo meat) without the veggie after taste eto yun hanap ko eh yun pinsan ko taga new zealand he bought it sa Food Fair product of the Phil. kase pero manufactured sa labas...
